Hi! The screensavers on this website are based on my own experiences with visual migraines. In middle school, I almost had a visual migraine everyday. It impacted my ability to see and complete my school work. There were a couple times where I could not complete a standardized test because I could not see anything. The words all blurred together much like the text on this page. It absolutely sucked!
For the sake of giving viewers something to read, I will describe the other screensavers. The default screensaver is based on the big blobs that tend to obstruct my vision when I have a visual migraine, while the static screensaver depicts my experience with a neurological condition called "Visual Snow". I have never seen the world clearly. My vision is similar to that of TV static. This can become more severe when I have a visual migraine. Finally, the blinds is based on one of my migraine triggers, blinds. Something about the bright light coming through the shades and their repetive structure makes them hard to look at without getting a migraine. My mom has the same experience.
Hint: If you want to read this passage with ease you are going to have to put in the extra effort much like those with visual migraines. Do so by right clicking on text elements and pressing inspect.
